The Earth had effectively been quarantined and any threat of a species unfit for planetary immigration had been expunged. The ones who had most prepared suffered the most too; Their elevated Awareness clear over all that could have been and all that was being lost.

Like psycho-cosmic lifeboats they drift on through the void into destiny.
